IKEA has announced a recall of a popular piece of furniture due to safety concerns.

The GLIVARP table, sold internationally, is an extendable dining table - however, it has been discovered that the extension mechanism is a hazard.

According to the recall notice, the extension piece could fall, with customer reports received by IKEA stating that the extension has detached from the railing and fallen.

This poses a risk of injury, with IKEA urging customers who own the table to return it to IKEA for a full refund.

No receipt or proof of purchase is required.
