A recall has been issued for a certain type of pasta sold at major supermarkets in South Australia.

Food Standards (Aus & NZ) issued the recall after it was revealed that the incorrect use-by date was printed on the box.

The affected stock includes the Cucina Classica Penne al' Arrabiata with the printed date of March 13, 2019,

Customers are warned not to consume this product after October 11, 2018 - which is the correct use-by date.

The product was for sale in Foodland Broken Hill NSW and selected Woolworths, Coles, Foodland, IGA Drakes & Romeos in South Australia.

It can be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund.
