A conversation about domestic violence, gender equity and respect in Wagga Wagga.

Ray Martin will join Genevieve Fleming, Vice President, Wagga Women's Health Centre, Senior Constable Troy Fisher and Steve Meredith, Community Manager NRL Respect on a panel to have an open and honest conversation about changing our community attitudes, social norms and stereotypes towards domestic family violence.

There are some alarming stats in Wagga - 

  • 1 in 4 Wagga men think men should be dominant in relationships
  • 1 in 25 people in Wagga think domestic violence is okay in certain circumstances
  • In Wagga domestic violence rates 29% higher than for the rest of NSW

Ray Martin joined Herbie & Dane to chat about his personal experience with domestic violence, why there's three men on the panel and the importance of this event.
