He’s only 18 and already turning heads.

Raiders young gun Nick Cotric has shown he has a very bright future ahead of him and he’s only played five first-grade games!

Coach Ricky Stuart has likened Nick to skipper Jarrod Croker, after he scored a superb try in Canberra’s 30-18 win over Parramatta.

The Eels were coming back strong in the second-half, till Cotric stepped up in a moment of brilliance.

He burst out of dummy-half, cut through Parramatta’s line, fended off the opposition, then scored a crucial four-pointer.

While his moves on the field are receiving praise, Stuart has also commended Nick’s attitude off the field.

“We talk about humbleness and what Nick Cotric’s got inside him, it’s exactly what Jarrod is,” Stuart said.

“For such an inexperienced guy I’m really impressed by his modesty and humbleness. He’s controlling his attitude very well which is a credit to a young man.”

Skipper Jarrod Croker said he’s also impressed with Nick’s form.

“For Nick to be able to score a try like that in his fifth game is pretty special,” he said.

“I keep saying he gets better and better each week. He’s just got to keep his head down and keep working.”
