A Qantas flight travelling from Adelaide to Canberra this morning has been diverted, following a depressurisation issue in the cabin.

Flight QF706 landed safely in Melbourne after oxygen masks were deployed to passengers, which Qantas has confirmed is standard procedure.

Once the plane reached a lower altitude, passengers were able to remove them and breathe normally.
