PSA To Anyone Who Is Having A Vegan Christmas

It’s no secret that more and more people are becoming vegetarian or vegan and we are ALL about it!

But, it’s also no secret that at this time of the year it can be hard to find vegan products to celebrate Christmas with…. but fear no more, because Woolworths has us covered!

They have just released their very own Plant Based Loaf!

It's priced at $8.00, and is a soy-based loaf packed with breadcrumbs, sweet cranberries, chickpeas, green lentils, herbs and spices.

This Christmas addition is unique to Woolworths and is vegan certified.

Woolworths Director of Fresh, Paul Harker said: “There is no reason why anyone should miss out at the Christmas table and we are very excited to be able to offer our vegan and vegetarian customers the all-new Woolworths Plant Based Loaf.

“In the past 12 months, Woolworths has added dozens of new vegan-friendly products to shelves, including dairy-free cheeses and vegan meals. In 2019 we’ll continue to look at providing more affordable, convenient and high quality products in the range to help meet growing customer demand.”

This year, Woolworths is making it easier to cater to all diets by offering 40% more gluten-free options across its stores, including Christmas treats such as the new Free From Gluten Chocolate Sponge Pudding - $2.50. Returning for another year is the Free From Gluten Fruit Pudding 700g - $8.00 and Free From Gluten Fruit Mince Bites 8 pack - $6.00.

If you are still struggling to come up with ideas, look no further…. 

For those who love seafood (but also love sea life) there are some great recipes for vegan prawns and loads of yummy vegan sausages available to throw on the BBQ. 

There’s also a great hack for pavlova using aquafaba instead of egg whites, vegan trifle and loads of vegan sweet treats you can pick up from any local supermarket.
