Premier Steven Marshall spoke to Bec Cosi and Lehmo this morning for the first time since South Australia went into Lockdown.

"We have woken up to one case overnight. We believe it is a close contact."

"I'm pretty pleased with that result overnight, although we still have a long way to go in regards to this cluster. I am very grateful to the people of South Australia."

Will there be any financial support for those families affected by the 14 Day Quarantine or the 7 Day Lockdown?

"If you go into directed Quarantine for 14 days there is financial support and that is $1500 which has been in place since day one."

The Premier then spoke on what financial support was available for people who cannot work their usual shifts due to the 7 Day Lockdown:

"We have been able to negotiate disaster relief payments. These payments cannot be applied for until after the lockdown."

These payments depend on the average amount of hours per week the individual works, listen below to find out which payment applies to you.

Premier Steven Marshall answered your submitted questions about Financial compensation, the length of lines at testing stations, and at what Vaccination rate will we stop locking down.
