Premier Steven Marshall spoke to Bec Cosi and Lehmo about what we can expect after yesterday's announcement of 6 new cases.

"The good news is there was no serious escalation overnight."

The Premier confirmed that there will be a daily COVID update from himself and Prof. Nicola Spurrier every day at 11am.

"We saw in other States that they were doing hourly updates and it only seemed to confuse people on the actual number of cases."

Premier Marshall also spoke on how glad he was that he made the call to Lockdown the State on Tuesday due to just how fast the Delta Variant can spread.

An issue people all over South Australia have been complaining about is just how long they have had to wait at Testing Sites. Premier Marshall announces his plans to reduce these waiting times by massively increasing resources.

"We have pulled every single possible lever to get more people in the lab, and more people on the front line, and yesterday was definitely a record (number of people getting tested in SA). We are increasing the capacity again today."
