Port Stephens Man Killed In Queensland Stabbing

It's been revealed one of the men caught up in a double stabbing south of Townsville is from the Hunter.

27-year-old Tom Davey of Tea Gardens and 37-year-old father of two Corey Christensen were both found covered in blood, suffering fatal stab wounds at the small town of Alva Beach just after midnight on Monday.

Emergency services tried to resuscitate the pair but were unsuccessful.

A 19-year old man has since been taken into police custody however charges are yet to be laid.

The incident is being treated as suspicious.
