Police need help to locate a classic car stolen from Edmonton.

Cairns Property Crime Squad officers are asking the community to assist them in locating a classic vehicle stolen from an Edmonton business premises on the weekend.

Thieves forced entry to a Vickers Street industrial building late on Friday night and stole a mid-seventies Valiant Ranger station wagon (pictured) which had been parked inside the premises.

The vehicle was started by unknown means before being driven from the address by the offenders.

The stolen vehicle is painted in a bright lime finish and is fitted with mag wheels. It is not currently registered and will likely have been fitted with registration plates from another vehicle.

Anyone sighting the vehicle is asked to call Police Link on 131444.
