Police investigate Southport assault
Resident conked on head by burglar
A man has been taken to hospital after what looks like a violent burglary in Southport overnight.
An offender apparently broke into the 41-year-old's home on Lenneberg St at 9:50 on Tuesday night and assaulted the resident.
The offender fled the scene, while the made his way to a hotel/motel on Queen St before paramedics were called.
He was treated for three wounds to his head.
Police are investigating.
