Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at Trinity Park.

Police are investigating following an attempted armed robbery at a Trinity Park convenience store yesterday.

Shortly before 7pm a man entered the store brandishing a firearm and demanding cash.

The staff member produced a large stick and chased the man from the store.

The man, who fled on foot, is described as having dark complexion, wearing a black, long-sleeved t-shirt with a hood, dark coloured jeans and white cap.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the man is asked to contact police.
