Pedestrian Dies In Hospital Two Days After Getting Struck By Car At Tugun

A man struck by a vehicle in Tugun on the weekend has sadly passed away in hospital.

Police confirmed the 27-year-old died nearly 48 hours after getting hit on the Gold Coast Highway around 9pm on Saturday.

He was rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition, where he succumbed to his injuries on Monday afternoon.

The female driver wasn't hurt during the incident.

The Forensic Crash Unit was investigating and a report was being prepared for the coroner.
