A serving NSW police officer has been charged with indecent assault and performing an act of indecency.

According to a NSW Police statement, the officer was stationed in the South West Metropolitan Region, with the three offences allegedly occurring in November and December 2016, and February 2017, Nine News reports.

The incidents involved a male senior constable allegedly indecently assaulting a colleague.

The 2016 incidents allegedly occurred while the two officers were off duty, with the final incident allegedly occuring while the two were on duty.

The accused officer was arrested yesterday at 10am and charged with performing an act of indecency and two counts of indecent assault.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on July 6th.
