Newcastle Police Find $12k Of Heroin In Woman's Underwear
Investigations continue.
Police have made a breakthrough while investigating an alleged heroin racket operating in Wallsend.
Officers from Strike Force Sleepy travelled from Newcastle to Wahroonga in Sydney yesterday, before arresting a 44-year-old woman.
It's alleged $12,000 dollars worth of heroin was discovered hidden in the woman's underwear following a subsequent police search.
She's been charged and refused bail.
Taskforce members then recovered cannabis, cash, drug paraphernalia and a mobile phone after a search warrant was executed at a unit in Cardiff Road, Wallsend at around 2:20am this morning.
