Bendigo Stadium will play host to a NBL preseason match later this month after management confirmed Melbourne United and Sydney Kings will hit the town as part of a two game preseason series.

The match will take place on August 30th with tipoff at 7pm and is set to feature former NBA star Andrew Bogut in one of his first matches in the NBL.

Tickets are already on sale at Ticketek with Bendigo Stadium Limited general manager of sport Ben Harvey saying they're expecting a capacity crowd.

“It’s so exciting to be hosting NBL basketball in Central Victoria with the generous support of the state government and our new world-class arena which has made it all possible,” Harvey said.

It's the first of two big basketball ties at the stadium over the next month with the Australian Boomers also touching down on September 17th to take on Kazakhstan in a FIBA World Cup qualifier.
