TUESDAY JULY 4 ORIGINAL NATIONS MAKERS MARKET

Tuesday July 4th, 4:00pm - 7:00pm, Exhibition Launch 5:30pm Goldfields Arts Centre Foyer In a warm, inviting market atmosphere, browse a range of products by talented locals of the Goldfields region, including bush medicines, jewellery, baskets, paintings, beading and wood carvings. Community members to create and take home artwork and enjoy a gourmet native foods at the Fervor cafe.

 

WEDNESDAY JULY 5 ANGLICARE FAMILY DAY

Wednesday July 5th, 10:00am - 4:00pm Maku Stadium, 62 Lionel St Boulder Families of all backgrounds are welcome to come together and celebrate! Performances by the Ngadju Dancers, local musicians Marcus McGuire, Warwick Tulloch and Mark Gleeson, traditional story-telling, foods, dance and art workshops. Bouncy Castles, Face Painters and Fairies, Goldfields Giants, Sumo Suits and an array of activities for children of all ages.

 

THURSDAY JULY 6 GOLDFIELDS LANGUAGES AWARDS

Thursday July 6th, 10:30am - 12:00pm Railway Hotel, 51 Forrest St Kalgoorlie Developed to preserve the Goldfields Aboriginal languages, Goldfields Aboriginal Languages Centre is proud to host this Awards ceremony and morning tea. RSVP essential, to [email protected] or (08) 9021 3788.

 

FRIDAY JULY 7 NAIDOC 2017 CLOSING CELEBRATION CONCERT WITH ELECTRIC FIELDS

5:30pm- 8:30pm, Goldfields Arts Centre

A red carpet event will be the closing celebration for NAIDOC Week celebrations. The night will host exciting internationally recognised electropop duo Electric Fields, whose performance will be complemented by a digital imagery projection performance by John Carberry from Illuminart. Pre-concert food and drink will be available amid an explosion of lighting and selected songs from the Tjuma Pulka playlist in a night of cultural revolution!
