Mystery Man Dies After Roadside Discovery

A man has died after being found on the side of the road at Whitebridge early this morning.

He was found by a taxi driver on Oakdale Road at about 1am, suffering extensive injuries.

Emergency services treated the man at the scene.

He was flown to Sydney's Royal North Shore Hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter but sadly died on the way.

Police are yet to formally identify the man, while it's unclear how he died.
