Mum Allegedly Poisons Own Son

A Sydney mum who allegedly attempted to poison her own son is set to front a Penrith court today.

After a three year investigation the the woman was charged following the treatment of her son at The Children's Hospital at Westmead in 2014.

He was treated for suspected poisoning after deteriorating with sepsis, a life-threatening complication of an infection.

She was charged with using poison to endanger life and granted strict conditional bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on today.
