One hundred and five young hopefuls will audition for a starring or ensemble role in Narnia: The Musical.

Talented youngsters aged between 10 and 18 will sing, dance and act before a panel of directors and choreographers for a chance to perform in the Toowoomba Choral Society family musical at the Empire Theatre in July this year.

Auditions will be held at Fairholme College in Wirra Wirra Street on Friday March 29, Saturday March 30 and Sunday March 31.

Director Vicki Bravery said she was thrilled to be presenting Narnia: The Musical to Toowoomba audiences for the first time this year.

“Many people grew up watching the movies and reading the Narnia series, and we have already had an overwhelming response since releasing the event on social media and opening ticket sales to the public," Ms Bravery said.

"With a high level of local talent alongside the most amazing props and innovative puppetry, this will no doubt be THE family musical of the year.”

Narnia: The Musical will be performed at The Empire Theatre for two shows – a matinee and a night show – on July 13. Tickets are available now through the Empire Theatre Box Office and Empire Theatre .
