Melbourne Was The Coldest City In The World This Morning

Feeling the cold this morning? You've just shivered through Melbourne's coldest morning.

Temperatures have dropped to as low as minus three across parts of the metro area this morning - Bureau of Meterology Forecaster Keris Arnt at the bureau says the gauge in Melbourne city dropped to just 2.1 degrees just after 6.30am. 

That coldest reading's come in from Coldstream. Mr Arnt confirmed it was the coldest morning of the year for Melbourne. 

The cold temperature makes Melbourne the coldest city in the world at 7am this morning. The hottest were New Orleans and Baghdad who were both sitting at a balmy 30 degrees.
