Melbourne's Coronavirus Outbreak Has Spread To Mildura

Victoria's premier is refusing to be drawn on whether the state will exit its snap lockdown at midnight Tuesday as planned, with another 16 cases confirmed overnight

An additional case then came through Sunday morning.

It was a man in his 30s from Mildura who attended last Saturday's Carlton v Geelong clash at the MCG.

"It's not that we know about another case somewhere else in regional Victoria, the point I'm making is that there is one in Mildura and that's about as far away from Melbourne as you'll get and still be in the state," he said.

"So it just goes to make the point that a problem anywhere is a problem everywhere."

Meantime another two cases have been linked to last Tuesday night's Wallabies test at AAMI Park.

Spectators who entered the venue through gate seven, or sat on level one between aisles 20 to 23 have attended a Tier One Exposure site and must get tested and isolate for 14 days.

While Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton remained concerned about a positive case who attended the Crafty Squire's screening of the Euros Final on Monday morning.

"People were there for a prolonged period of time," he said.

"If they were eating or drinking then masks would have been off, I'm sure there would have been shouting or in the case of the English, crying."

The Crafty Squire is one of more than 200 exposure sites across Victoria.
