Melbourne now has more than 540 Covid exposure sites with four more tier-one locations added on Tuesday morning.

The Coles and Haymisha Bakery in Balaclava, Aldi Roxborough Park, and Tyre Plus in Newport have been added to the tier one sites.

We’re being advised that the list of exposure sites is growing in St Kilda, with a bakery, butcher, gelato shop, and a 7/11 added as tier two sites.

Melbourne lists four tier-one locations overnight

Premier Dan Andrews confirmed that Melbourne recorded 24 locally acquired cases of Covid-19 overnight, with 14 in quarantine during their infections period.

Health authorities have been able to link all but three of those cases to known outbreaks.

Six Victorians are in hospital due to the virus, two women in their 20’s, a woman in her 40s, two men in their 40s, and a child in ICU who is not in a serious condition.

The Premier reiterated the importance of getting vaccinated if you’re eligible to do so.

“Getting vaccinated will be our way out of this in the long term.”

Mr. Andrews reinforced the importance of getting tested and isolating as soon as symptoms are displayed.

"Getting tested as soon as you register symptoms is our way of getting out of this in the short term.”
