Most of us would do anything for our pets, but this is something we've never thought of!

11-year-old Golden Retriever Charlie is blind after have both eyes removed due to glaucoma. He had one eye removed in 2016, and the other in 2017.

Earlier this year, Charlie’s family decided to adopt a puppy called Maverick. And while Charlie was initially suspicious of Maverick, he very quickly warmed to him.

It didn’t take long before Maverick started to become Charlie’s eyes, guiding him through life. Maverick has even been photographed holding Charlie’s lead during walks!

“When they would play, Maverick would realise that Charlie would lose the toy sometimes, so he would pick it up and put it back in front of him to re-engage playtime,” owner Chelsea Stipe told NBC Philadelphia.

The pair even have their own Instagram account – and judging by the photos, they are never far apart!
