Man Tries To Snatch Toddler From Play Area But Mum Runs After Him

Police are on the hunt for a man who attempted to abduct a 15 month old baby boy who was playing in a children's play area at a mall in Liverpool last week. 

Police are searching for the man, who picked up the child as he was walking past the area on Thursday, failing to notice that his mother was standing just a short distance away watching her child. 

As the man began walking toward Elizabeth Street carrying the child, his mother started yelling at running at the man, who handed the boy to her and fled in an unknown direction.

He's described as being Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 45-years-old, medium build, clean shaven, with black hair combed back and wearing a black woolen long sleeved jacket.
