A man's been charged with an alleged domestic violence assault...after police responded to a crash at Kariong yesterday.
Shortly before Midday...police attended the Pacific Motorway near the on-ramp after a Nissan X-Trail crashed into a stationary truck and median strip.
Police say a man in the X-Trail began assaulting the 36 year old female passenger...before a passing truck driver stopped and rendered assistance.
The 45 year old alleged offender was detained by witnesses until police arrived.
He was charged with choking and negligent driving...refused bail...to front Gosford Local Court today.
