Two police officers have whiplash after their car was rammed in Surfers Paradise this morning.

They were approaching a roundabout at the corner of Peninsula Drive and Watson Esplanade when they were allegedly rammed from behind by another vehicle.

The officers suffered minor neck pains in the prang, while the car sustained some minor damage.

A 30-year-old Southport man was arrested at the scene.

He was expected to be charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
