Horror movies are a rite of passage, no matter how much we might hate them or how much they will keep us awake at night, pulling the covers over our heads to hide from whatever is lurking in the darkness.

As we grow older, we either grow out of the horror movies and never touch them again, or we dive head first into a scary world to forever plague our dreams.

If you sit in the second category of people, then we’ve got a horrific treat for you in the form of the latest trailer for Blumhouse and director Tate Taylor’s (The Girl On The Train, The Help) new psychological horror-thriller, Ma.

The film stars Octavia Spencer and follows her as a ‘loner’ who keeps to herself in a small town in Ohio.

However, her lonely days change when a group of teenagers ask her to buy them some booze… and from there, Ma sets on a quest to make them friends of her own, offering the teens use of her basement to hang out, party and drink in.

The creepy twist?

Her house rules are strange and the teens get a lot more than they bargained for when they break one of the most important rules - NEVER go upstairs…

Feast your sick minds on the trailer below.

The cast includes Octavia Spencer, Missi Pyle, Luke Evans, Juliette Lewis, Allison Janney, McKaley Miller, Dominic Burgess, Victor Turpin, Dante Brown, Kyanna Simone Simpson, Corey Fogelmanis, Diana Silvers, and Gianni Paolo.

Sound like your cup of tea? Well, as you all know if you watched Get Out, a cup of tea is something to be afraid of.

"How does it feel to be on the outside looking in?"
