Lotto Win For Drought-Affected Hunter Valley Farmer
Good on him!
A Hunter Valley farmer battling the drought has won $200,000 playing Lucky Lotteries.
The Singleton man took out last Friday's first-prize jackpot after purchasing a ticket from Singleton Discount Drug Store.
He says the money is a god-send after struggling to make ends meet.
"I've been buying hay for the animals and things are triple the price, so it'll be very good. It's come at a great time," he said.
"Someone up there likes us."
"We raise cattle for the markets and it has been tough, as a lot of our dams have been drying up."
"We are going to get a water bore and that can be expensive, so this will go towards things like that."
