Okay, we're about to show you something beyond horrific but please don't say we didn't warn you.

If there's one thing you need to remind yourself before popping on your runners for a cheeky 111km run, it's to not do a 111km run. But, after that, it's probably to apply some Nicole Kidman-level SPF sunscreen to your entire body... and to continue applying, because you know, 111km is a long way to run.

Unfortunately, Julie Nisbet found that out the hard way.

After participating in the 69 mile (111km) run along Hadrian's Wall in the U.K, the 34-year-old came to the cruel realisation that she had forgotten to reapply her sunscreen - leading to some pretty epic burns/puss-filled, tennis ball-sized blisters on the back of her legs.

Now, we're going to show you her legs. But, we're warning you. There are burns. Then there's this.

Okay?

Okay.

After being taken to hospital to have the first lot of puss drained from the sacs on her legs, Julie tweeted that the "joy [she] felt at completely this ultra is now being overlooked by the agony [she's] in with the burns."

After a few days passed, the Julie was finally on the mend, even cracking a couple jokes about her situation.

We wish Julie a full recovery.

And remember kids... sunscreen. The sun doesn't mess around.
