Lifeblood Worker Asks Australia To Continue Giving Blood During The Corona Crisis

With Australia encouraging self isolation, events with large gatherings of people are being cancelled across the nation including weddings, sporting events and music festivals. 

The one thing we don't want people cancelling is blood donations, but unfortunately, appointments are being cancelled at an alarming rate. 

To find out more about the blood shortage, Bronte & Sam spoke with Belinda Smetioukh from Lifeblood, who elaborated on the current drop in blood stock. 

Belinda encourages Australians to keep their appointments and emphasises the importance of giving blood during a crisis.

Belinda also tells us about the extra precautions they are taking to ensure the health and well-being of all those who continue to donate and offers advice to those who are still planning to drop by and give blood.
