Actress and director Penny Marshall, most famous for starring in hit ABC comedy Laverne & Shirley, sadly passed away yesterday at the age of 75.
A publicist confirmed the news, revealing she passed away peacefully at her Hollywood Hills home due to complications involving diabetes.
"Our family is heartbroken," the Penny’s family said in a statement.
Laverne & Shirley ran from 1976 to 1983 and became one of the biggest shows of its time.
Penny later made a name for herself as one of the top-grossing female directors in Hollywood, directing films like Big and A League of Their Own.
