Lake Macquarie Man Killed By Intruders
He was attacked by three men
A man's died after being attacked in a home invasion at Whitebridge this morning.
Three men armed with knives and baseball bats broke into his home in Lonus Avenue about 2:30am and attacked him in his bedroom.
He suffered a serious arm injury.
The 60 year old victim's two brothers were home at the time but weren't injured.
Emergency services were called and took the man to John Hunter Hospital where he died a short time later.
Police are investigating if this was a targeted attack.
The house remains a crime scene.
The State Crime Command's homicide squad is helping Lake Macquarie detectives investigate.
