A 12-year-old boy is one of five teenagers arrested over an alleged joyride in a stolen car across Logan and the northern Gold Coast.

Police claim a man was car jacked by one of the teens, who was armed with a metal pole, on Garfield Street at Woodridge around 7.40pm on Saturday, December 8.

He allegedly jumped into the driver's seat and was joined by a second teenage boy before the car sped off.

Police tracked the vehicle through Woodridge and eventually to Ormeau, where it crashed into a roundabout in Mavis Court, before coming to a stop on Mark Porter Place around 8.40pm.

Five male teenagers were found inside the vehicle and were taken into custody without incident.

Four boys aged between 12 to 18 have since been charged with various vehicle offences, while the fifth was assisting police with their investigation.
