Mayor Cr Adrian Weston said violence again women is a serious issue with one in three Australian women affected by physical and/or sexual violence by someone they know.
“One woman a week is killed in our country by a current or former partner and our shire is no exception
“The White Ribbon Day campaign recognises the positive role that men play in preventing violence against women,” Cr Weston said.
White Ribbon Australia is a part of a global movement of men and boys working to end men’s violence against women. It aims to create an Australian society where all women can live in safety, free from violence and abuse.

Let’s join together and say “No” to violence against women.
