Johnny Depp Ditched As 'Captain Jack Sparrow’ As Disney Announces A Reboot
The day we almost caught...

Pirates Of The Caribbean has long been a favourite film franchise for many of us, introducing us to the quirky and beloved characters of Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swan.
We’ve been blessed with five films over the years, with Johnny Depp taking the lead on them all as Captain Jack, but some sad news has dropped today - Johnny will not be appearing in any more POTC films or reprising his role as the wacky pirate.
The script writer of the original film, Stuart Beattie, has been one of the first to confirm publicly that Disney Studios has made the decision to not bring Johnny back.
Stuart spoke to DailyMailTV, revealing, “I think he’s had a great run.
“Obviously, he’s made that character his own and it’s become the character he’s most famous for now.”
Disney Studios is believed to be reworking the entire franchise to give it a new spin.
Stuart continued, saying, “And kids all over the world love him as that character so I think it's been great for him, it's been great for us, so I'm just very, very happy about it.”
According to recent reports, the team responsible for writing Deadpool are working on a reboot of the Pirates franchise.
Are YOU keen to see this franchise rebooted? Or do you want it to be left alone and stand the test of time as it is?
