If you're like most of the country, you're probably feeling a little cooped up and are ready to spread your wings and start planning that next holiday!

But with Coronavirus leaving us all uncertain as to when overseas travel will once again be permitted and many of us short on funds, it's hard to imagine when we will be able to take that much-needed trip away.

Well, luckily Japan and Sicily have offered us a small glimmer of hope, promising to help fund our trip in the hopes they'll encourage more tourism to pass through post COVID-19. 

I know this sounds too good to be true, but according to Japan Tourism Agency Commissioner Hiroshi Tabata, a $19 billion scheme is currently under debate; details hint that Japan may pay half of the tourist's flight cost.

But Japan aren't the only ones pulling out the big guns! Sicily has set aside a US $50 million to help fund our trip to their Mediterranean oasis, vowing to pay for half of a tourist's flight and one third of their accomodation costs. 

So if you're feeling game enough to check out Japan or Sicily once restrictions ease up, you may have the cheapest holiday of your life ahead of you!
