It’s arguably the biggest event in history: man walks on the moon.

On this day 50 years ago, July 16th, 1969, the Apollo 11 space mission launched from the Kennedy Space Centre in the United States. A few days later, Neil Armstrong became the first man to walk on the moon, followed by Buzz Aldrin on July 20th, 1969.

Or DID they?

An estimated 600 million people watched on from Earth as history was made.
