Hunter Petrol Price Relief, Prices Fall
Filling up is getting cheaper..
We're seeing further relief at the petrol pump, as the cost of fuel continues to fall thanks to a drop in world oil prices.
According to the NRMA's weekly petrol update, unleaded is four cents a litre cheaper in Newcastle compared to a week ago, down to 149.5 cents/litre.
While it's fallen eight cents in Maitland to 138.9 cents/litre, which is the cheapest in the state outside of Sydney (136.0 cents/litre).
"We've seen an increase in oil production overseas over the past few weeks, along with a stronger Aussie dollar meaning good news at the bowser for Aussie motorists," NRMA spokesperson Rebecca Page said.
However Bulahdelah still has the most expensive petrol in NSW at 165.2 cents/litre.
