With the ongoing droughts throughout Australia, DDAK co-founder Janice Menzies joined the show to explain how you can help.

This Saturday, Doin' it for Drought Affected Kids (DDAK) is holding a donation day to give you the opportunity to give children anything you think they might love - from toys to non-perishables to stationary - to be included in student care packages.

"Kids do it really hard in the drought. They see Mum and Dad come home at the end of the day, and they've gone through some pretty horrific things in their day... So they're seeing all the effects of their mums and dads coming home pretty down, and there's not much rain around still as you can imagine." - Janice Menzies

The donation day will include a gold coin sausage sizzle, jumping castles, kids entertainment, fairy floss, and more! It'll be a fun day out for the whole family, supporting a great cause.

Listen to the full chat with Janice to find out more about what the charity does for drought affected families and children...

You can donate at Wagga Civic Theatre Precinct this Saturday from 9am - 2pm, or online at the DDAK website or Facebook page.
