Ashcombe Maze & Lavender Gardens

You’ve seen large mazes in movies (we’re still scarred from Harry Potter’s experience in The Triwizard Tournament) but have you ever tried to escape one yourself? It’s time for a road trip!

The Ashcombe Maze & Lavender Gardens is the home to Australia’s oldest and most famous hedge maze, which is 3 metres high and 2 metres thick. More than 1000 Monterey Cypress trees make up the walls, and the paths can be so narrow even a pram won’t fit!

To keep things interesting, you and your crew can challenge yourselves to find four mosaic flags. Each half of the maze has been designed differently, so if you think you've got it down pat, think again.

The maze will definitely tire you out, so you can look forward to the Ashcombe Café which serves epic food, including all day breakfast. They even make lavender ice cream in house!

Where: 15 Shoreham Road, Shoreham, Mornington Peninsula

When: 9am-5pm daily

Price: $10-$18.50 (includes access to maze, gardens, café and activities for kids)
