You have probably heard of Gwyneth Paltrow’s company, Goop, and also about the vaginal jade eggs they have been selling, which are supposed to boat a lot of health benefits.

Now, the company has just been sued $200,000 after a lawsuit against them was won, for false advertising.

The California Food, Drug and Medical Device Task Force won the case against Goop, now asking for $200,000 in civil penalties over their jade eggs.

On Goop’s website, the eggs were advertised that they would, increase vaginal muscle tone, hormonal balance, and feminine energy in general,” but according to the U.S government, there was no scientific or definitive proof to substantiate these claims.

Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen released a statement saying, “The health and money of Santa Clara County residents should never be put at risk by misleading advertising.

“We will vigilantly protect consumers against companies that promise health benefits without the support of good science... or any science.”

Since their release, the jade eggs have received a lot of backlash from medical professionals who refuted the health benefits the eggs were supposed to promote.
