Supporters of the campaign to protect bushland at Glenning Valley from a large residential development are outraged at what they're labeling a "Wildlife Death Trap".

They say they've noticed more and more native animals, becoming recent roadkill.

Spokesperson for "Say no to Glenning Valley Bushland" Kylie Boyle says locals want the fence taken down ASAP.

"We recently had the death of a wallaby that was obviously hit by a car as it was trying to enter this fence. They (developers) put this fence up last year, and we believe it's a bullying statement basically saying 'This is my land, and I can do what I like.'."

The development application for the residential estate is currently being decided in the land and environment court.
