Girl, 13, Charged Over Junior Footy Violence
Young opponent seriously injured
A teenage girl is facing serious charges over an incident at a junior football match.
It's alleged the 13 year old assaulted a 15 year old player on the opposing team during the match in Heathridge back on June 8.
The victim received serious facial and spinal injuries and has been referred to the Perth Children’s Hospital for ongoing treatment.
The 13 year old girl from Hocking has been charged with grievous bodily harm and is due to appear before the Joondalup Children’s Court on August 7.
