A shooting at Upper Coomera this week has led to fears of a possible bikie turf war.

A 33-year-old man, alleged to be a member of the Rebels Bikie Gang, was shot up to eight times and bashed with a baseball bat at a home on Kumnick Street on Tuesday night.

He received gunshot wounds to his legs, groin and buttocks, and had since undergone surgery, remaining in hospital in a serious condition.

The man's brother has now vowed to retaliate in a post on Facebook, which reads "One by one I'm coming."

"Think you’s are men doing what you’s have done, think you’s are tough going to a family home with his wife and baby their think yours are tough shooting a man 8 times..."

Police are still hunting for the men responsible for the attack, with investigations underway into whether they were from another outlaw motorcycle gang.

But they have urged the public not to worry, dismissing fears that unlawful bikie activity could be on the rise.
