Nothing gets us in the festive spirit quite like Carols by Candlelight. There’s something magical about taking an Esky, along with your best Santa hat, to the park and singing your lungs out to your favourite Christmas tunes.

Well, once again it’s happening this Sunday, 16th of December at Rosalind Park, Pall Mall. The now iconic Rotary Club of Bendigo’s Carols by Candlelight runs from 6-10pm and is free with a gold coin donation.

As always, choirs, musicians and carollers are among the line-up of talent performing best-loved yuletide songs on the night, with a rumoured visit by the man from the North Pole to sweeten the deal.

For the 48th year running, this promises to be an unmissable event for the whole family, made even more spectacular by the natural beauty of its surrounds.

Plus, and here’s the clincher, event sponsor Telstra will be running a competition for someone to win a brand spanking new iPhone X. There’s never been a better reason to not be a Grinch!

Telstra have been supporting the event for the last half-decade. Steve Tinker, Telstra Area General Manager, admits that the local team love getting involved by providing manpower at the gates, assisting with some of the technology, and helping to run the competitions.

Additionally, they’re big supporters of the fact that all of the fundraising on the night goes directly to the Rotary Club, who in turn use it to help the community.

We will also be running a competition for someone to win a new iphone x on the night. That would be a great present for a lucky person that attends the carols.

“Thanks to Telstra and all of our sponsors for the support and we hope that we can get a huge crowd to Rosalind Park on Sunday night.”

- Colin Nankervis, Bendigo Rotary Club

So, don’t waste any time. Make sure you grab that shampoo bottle next time you’re in the shower and practice your singing because on Sunday night that’s exactly what you’ll find most of Bendigo doing out in Rosalind Park. See you there!
