Don’t Stress, Shake It Off…. Extra Public Transport Will Be Running For Taylor Swift At ANZ

Are you ready for it? Well, you will be now!

Music fans are being encouraged to catch public transport to Taylor Swift’s reputation Stadium Tour at Sydney Olympic Park this week.

The 10 time Grammy winner will be bringing her reputation tour to ANZ Stadium on Friday 2 November.

The first support act Broods starts at 7pm, followed by Charli XCX at 7:40pm with Taylor Swift taking the stage at 8:45pm.

“More than 70,000 fans will be heading to the concert during the busy Friday afternoon peak so the best way to get there is by public transport,” Transport for NSW Coordinator General, Marg Prendergast said.

Adding, “Extra trains and buses will be running on top of the regular afternoon peak hour services, and your concert ticket includes return travel on trains, buses, ferries and light rail.”

All tickets include travel on public transport, including trains, regular and special event bus services, Sydney Ferries, and light rail services.

To get Swifties to the concert, trains to Olympic Park will be leaving Central every 10 minutes from around 4:30pm, stopping at Redfern and Strathfield. There will also be extra trains from Penrith, Schofields, Emu Plains, Macarthur, Liverpool, Hornsby and Gosford.

Anyone travelling for Sydney’s North or North West is reminded that Station Link buses are replacing trains between Epping and Chatswood while upgrades continue for Sydney Metro Northwest.

Major Event buses will be running as well, with services to Sydney Olympic Park starting between 3:35pm and 4:35pm, depending on the route. Return services will also be running, with the last bus on each route leaving the precinct at 11:45pm.

Traffic will be heavy on roads approaching the venue, including the M4, Parramatta Road, Homebush Bay Drive and Concord Road.

If you’re still going to drive, give yourself plenty of time to get through the peak hour traffic and make sure you have pre-booked parking.

After the concert, trains will be leaving Olympic Park frequently for Central, Lidcombe, Penrith, Blacktown and Schofields.

There will also be additional services on the T2 Inner West & Leppington Line, T3 Bankstown Line, T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line, T8 Airport & South Line, Central Coast & Newcastle Line and South Coast Line.

Sydney Olympic Park is expected to be extremely busy on Friday night so give yourself plenty of time to travel so you don’t miss any of the show.

Trains to Olympic Park will leave:

• Central every 10 minutes from 4:27pm, stopping at Redfern and Strathfield

• Penrith at 5:48pm; Schofields at 6pm and 6:30pm; and Emu Plains at 6:38pm- These trains will stop all stations to Seven Hills, Westmead, Parramatta, Granville, Lidcombe and Olympic Park

• Macarthur at 6:14pm and Liverpool at 6:23pm- These trains will stop all stations to Granville, Lidcombe and Olympic Park

• Hornsby at 6:40pm- This train will stop all stations to Olympic Park via Epping and Concord West

• Gosford at 6:12pm- This train will stop at Woy Woy, Berowra, Hornsby, Epping, Eastwood and Olympic Park

• Blue Mountains Line trains to Central will make an extra stop at Lidcombe from 5pm until 8pm

Bus:

Major Event Buses will start running between 3:35pm and 4:35pm, depending on the route.

Getting home from the concert

Trains will leave:

• Olympic Park for Central every five minutes from 10:30pm until 12:30am

These trains will stop at Strathfield and Redfern.

• Olympic Park for Blacktown, Schofields and Penrith every 10 minutes from 10:30pm until 12:30am Saturday
• Lidcombe for Campbelltown via Granville at 10:51pm and 11:19pm 
• Lidcombe at 11:52pm, stopping all stations to Bankstown
• Lidcombe at 11:56pm, stopping all stations to the city
• Central at 12:19am, stopping all stations to Hurstville
• Central to Newcastle Interchange at 12:48am- This train will stop at Strathfield, Eastwood, Epping, Hornsby and then all stations to Newcastle Interchange (except Wondabyne)
• Central to Dapto at 11:53pm- This train will stop at Redfern, Sutherland and all stations to Dapto
• Central to Kiama at 12:53am- This train will stop at Redfern, Sutherland and all stations to Kiama
• Blue Mountains Line trains from Central will make an extra stop at Lidcombe from 10pm until 1am

Bus:

• Major Event Buses will start leaving Sydney Olympic Park at the end of the concert. 

The last service on each route will leave at 11:45pm.
