Darling Downs Police Want Drivers to “Arrive Safe this Christmas”

Remember the FATAL FIVE

Queensland is a large and diverse state with each community having their own factors affecting travellers as they motor along the highways and byways.

Darling Downs police encourage people who are travelling to plan their holiday carefully, so everyone can enjoy Christmas with the people they love.

So, the message is simple, plan how you are going to travel and remember police will continue to prioritise the enforcement of the Fatal 5 – speed, impaired driving, seat belts, fatigue and inattention as these behaviours contribute to most fatality and injury crashes on our roads.

We should take care at all times on our roads but the ‘silly season’ is a time when we see some horrendous behaviour that in a lot of cases results in families, friends and loved ones lives change forever.

Please stay safe on our roads this festive season.
