Community remains divided over Mosque

Central Coast Council is continuing to investigate if any unauthorised are taking place at showground road, Narara.

It's in response to claims the Gosford Islamic Group, which owns the site, plans to erect a Mosque.

A Council spokesperson says there is consent to use it as a place of public worship...however works not covered under the previous approval require a Development Application

Father Rod Bower from Gosford Anglican Church supports the place of worship.

If the development goes ahead, it'll be the Coast's second Mosque, the Central Coast Islamic Culture Centre at Wyong has been open for nearly decade.
