This morning on the show, Tim & Jess spoke to Steph Carroll from Ess Makeup about her involvement in Look Good Feel Better, and how we can help right here on The Border.

Look Good Feel Better is a free national community service program run by the Cancer Patients Foundation, dedicated to teaching cancer patients how to manage the appearance-related side-effects caused by cancer treatment. Women, men and teens participate in practical workshop demonstrations covering skin care, make-up and head wear, leaving them empowered and ready to face their cancer diagnosis with confidence.

There will be two Ready To Conquer events across the border to raise money for the local branch of Look Good Feel Better in the first week of September:

  • Elena from Skin by Elena will be giving guests the rundown on how to keep their skin in tip-top condition regardless of age and budget.
  • Steph from Ess Makeup will not only be running through the steps to achieve a thorough and durable day look but also be demonstrating how to take that look from desk to dinner appropriate.
  • Lisa from local designer dress hiring business Lease a Look will be breaking down the everyday wardrobe-essentials and how to dress to impress for any occasion.

Guests will be met with a drink on arrival and a lavish spread of nibbles. There will be hundreds of dollars in prizes to be won via a raffle, a lucky door prize and giveaways. But most importantly, the hope is that each guest walks away with tips and tricks they can apply to their everyday life to boost their confidence and make them Ready to Conquer the world!

Dates: Wednesday 4th September-Sunday 8th September
Time: 6pm-8pm | 11am-1pm
Location: Public House: 491 Dean St, Albury
